PSUChronicles.com is Portland State University’s official student and social media blog. Students are invited to share their experiences and perspectives in their own words. The student blogs should be personal accounts that range from philosophical to comical, all based on real life at PSU. There are nearly 28,000 students at Portland State, and we want as many of those students as possible to see themselves in the voices of our contributors.

APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SEND A RESUME AND A WRITTEN OR VIDEO SAMPLE UPON APPLYING

General responsibilities:

  • Post blogs on assigned post dates
  • Attend mandatory blog editorial planning meetings once a term
  • Attend social events like the University’s Tweetup when possible

Positions:

Standard bloggers:
Produce roughly two written blogs a month (number could change, depending on quantity of bloggers)

Video bloggers:
Produce roughly one video blog every month (number could change, depending on quantity of bloggers)

Photo bloggers:
Produce roughly two photo blogs a month (number could change, depending on quantity of bloggers)

Wage:
A modest wage is provided

    this is stupid- how is it a blog for 30,000 students to share their opinions and views when you only have like 8 bloggers who hardly talk about the hard news

    That sounds like a lot of trouble to through just to be a blogger. Anyone could just setup their own account for free on Blogger, WordPress, etc.
