However, if you’re looking for a fun activity that will also benefit others, you might want to head to Big Al’s Bowling Alley this weekend (Nov. 11-13). Each time you bowl three strikes in a row, a.k.a. “a turkey”, Big Al’s will donate a turkey to CityTeam Ministries, a food box program that helps low-income families. You can also get your shoe rentals free if you bring canned food to donate.
Whether you choose to help at a soup kitchen or bowl away for a turkey donation, it is a great way to help those in need. I encourage PSU students to keep to our school motto and “Let knowledge serve the city” by giving back to the community. Take your friends, have some fun, and make it a tradition to help out during the holiday season.
