College of Ed grad featured on U.S. Dept of Education website

We’re proud to share that Ezra Whitman, who graduated from the College of Education’s American Indian Teacher Program in 2017 with a Master’s in Education, was featured recently on the U.S. Department of Education’s Indian Education website.

Ezra teaches at Roosevelt High School after previously working in healthcare. His career switch came after much reflection about how best to help his community.

“I am grateful for the struggles I’ve had, and being able to explore and learn about my own way of processing information,” Ezra said. “I learn differently from the mainstream in a personal and cultural way that includes artwork, being allowed to speak, and body movement.”
